VERTEX’s cost-of-repair experts estimate repair programs and allocate costs to responsible parties. We stand behind our estimates and offer to complete the subject work.
VERTEX provides forensic cost estimating services to law firms, insurance companies, HOAs, contractors, developers, sureties, and adjusters. We have extensive experience in all types of construction and all divisions of work.
Cost of Repair Estimating
To calculate the fair market cost to repair construction work, VERTEX estimators rely on decades of experience with projects that vary widely in scope and complexity. We typically base our assessments on one or more of the following: discussions with subcontractors, review of vendor pricing, review of construction cost data from widely used industry standard software packages, VERTEX’s historical pricing from the thousands of projects that VERTEX has estimated/completed as a general contractor, detailed quantity takeoffs, and site investigations. Lastly, VERTEX frequently tenders our cost estimates as bids to complete the work.
Fault Allocation
In certain instances VERTEX is asked to provide fault allocation opinions once we complete our claim review. In these instances, VERTEX reviews the issues, identifies the duties of the various parties involved in the design and construction of the project, assigns an initial responsibility, and then adjusts the fault allocation to account for patent conditions and follow-up work that covered up defective work, if appropriate.
Construction Defect Repair
VERTEX’s award-winning construction team performs reconstruction work with a focus on responsiveness, safety, and quality. In addition, we also maintain large single project and aggregate bonding programs so, if requested, VERTEX can provide performance and payment guarantees from a triple A-rated bonding company, which is rare in the reconstruction industry.
