LKB provided construction inspection services under Suffolk County’s Local Design Service Agreement (LDSA), for the milling and resurfacing of 4.52 miles of both the east-bound and west-bound lanes of CR94, Nugent Drive. This project included a (2”) cold pavement milling of the existing asphalt concrete, full depth asphalt pavement repairs, repairing and replacing of damaged drainage structures, concrete slab repair with calcium chloride accelerated concrete pavement, installation of new top course asphalt resurfacing, new thermoplastic pavement markings, and the replacement of concrete curbing and asphalt tip-ups.
This project included spot removal and replacement of existing sidewalk to concur with the SCDPW PROWAG to meet ADA compliance. Highway signage will be upgraded throughout the project area to bring this signage into conformance with the latest Federal MUTCD and NYS Supplement.
